Who are we?
The presence of Simon-Christiansen & Associates in Africa dates back to the 1980s. It is within the framework of a historic collaboration on various projects that the office has strengthened its presence in the area. The engineering consultancy SC Afrique was created in 2003 by the Luxembourg companies Luxplan and Simon-Christiansen & Associés. Thanks to its multidisciplinary skills, the team on site is able to take charge of all types of studies or projects in areas such as: project management, construction management, structural studies (engineering structures), drinking water resources, environment, urban planning and topography.
In recent years, SC Afrique’s activity has extended to countries in the sub-region of Africa: Gambia, Mali, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Guinea, Ivory Coast and Togo, as well as into East African countries such as Rwanda and Burundi.

Thomas LECLERC, a licensed topographic surveyor graduated from INSA Strasbourg (France), acquired his experience
in major French construction groups (NGE-RAZEL-COLAS) before joining Luxplan and SC Afrique in November 2016.
In Senegal since March 2017, he is the General Administrator of SC Afrique.

The group
SC Afrique is a subsidiary of Simon-Christiansen & Associés and Luxplan. They founded the L.S.C. Engineering Group, which today includes nine companies in Luxembourg and six companies abroad.
These companies combine their know-how on a daily basis in order to meet the requirements of the market in the field of construction and land development. The services offered are intended to accompany the client throughout a construction, renovation and/or transformation project.
With more than 40 years of history, the commitment and know-how of an experienced and multi-disciplinary staff have elevated the group to one of the leaders in the Luxembourg market. Characterised by the diversity of its workforce, the group currently has more than 300 employees composed of young dynamic talents and experienced employees.
Our office does not hesitate to cooperate with other offices of the group, especially in the planning and implementation of large projects. Indeed, even with a wide range of services nowadays, it is necessary to collaborate with quality partner offices in order to handle the most complex projects.
